The SET-Plan conference 2016 will take place between 30 November and 2 December 2016 in Bratislava under the Slovak Presidency. High-level representatives from the European Commission and EU Member States as well as stakeholders from business and research community will discuss the achievements in the implementation of the Energy Union with a special focus on the progress made under its research, innovation and competitiveness dimension.
The conference will be opened by Maroš Šefā oviā , Vice-President of the European Commission for the Energy Union, Andrej Kiska, President of the Slovak Republic and Robert Fico, Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic and a key note speech will be delivered by Carlos Moedas, Commissioner for Science, Research and Innovation. Closing speeches will be delivered by Miguel Arias Cañete, Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy and Peter Plavā an, Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.
This Directorate-General is responsible for the development and implementation of EU research and innovation policies. It manages the European Framework Programmes that support research and innovation.
