(27/04/2016) The High Representative and the European Commission set out an integrated response to the challenges of the Arctic.
- 1.This Directorate-General develops and monitors the implementation of the Commission regarding the area of fisheries and maritime affairs. The DG's main task is the management of the common fisheries policy (CFP) that provides a basis for sustainable fishing in the waters of the European Union and elsewhere by taking into account environmental, economic and social aspects and good governance.
