Directorate-General Communication (COMM)

The DG co-ordinates the activities of the Commission representations in the member states, maintains relations with the media and works to maintain the cohesiveness of all communication and dissemination of information of the Commission.

This Directorate-General has the following tasks:

  • provide media and citizens with information about the work of the Commission and highlighting the goals and main issues of its policy and activities
  • inform the Commission of public opinion in member states
