I.N. (Iliana) Ivanova - Main contents

Iliana Ivanova (1975) is the Commissioner from Bulgaria. She will hold the post of innovation, research, culture, education and youth in the Commission-Von der Leyen. She will replace Mariya Gabriel who left the Commission for Bulgaria's national politics. Ivanova has served in the European Parliament from 2009 to 2012, after which she became a member of the European Court of Auditors. Prior to her political career she worked as civil servant in Bulgaria and held jobs in the US banking system.
