Slush is a student-driven, not-for-profit movement originally founded to change attitudes toward entrepreneurship. Slush has grown from a single gathering in Helsinki to a series of events organized all around the world. This year a partnership between Startup Europe and Slush has been set up to showcase Technology Leadership, Innovative Policy Making and Deep Tech Investment. Come and join us in Helsinki at the world's leading startup event.

The “Accelerating Digital Innovation and Ecosystems in Europe” workshop brings together over 300 stakeholders and experts on digital innovation and startup ecosystems to discuss the future European startup policy and investment initiatives that will enable digital innovation growth.

The master of ceremony for this side event is Maija Palmer, Senior reporter at Sifted, an FT-backed news site for European start-ups.

What you will find during the workshop?

Discover the perspective of high-level policy-makers and leading tech entrepreneurs on the top scaling challenges: access to finance, access to markets, access to finance and access to talent plus what it takes to innovate for climate change.

Access to finance

Deep dive into the Digital Innovation and Scale-up Initiative (DISC) that will enhance the access to finance to high-risk, highly innovative digital startups in the CESEE region. Learn first-hand about the details about the €100 Million Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain fund.

Access to markets

Access to new markets is as important as access to capital. This is why the leaders of two Startup Europe projects My-Gateway and StartupLighthouse will showcase how to do a market analysis, how to select the right partners, how to tap into privileged networks and gain the first customers.

Innovation for climate change

Learn how digital innovation can address climate change. Learn how technology can create awareness and stimulate change in how we consume, produce and work. Moreover, learn what is the cost of inaction how the world can cut climate emissions in half by 2030.
