The 2018 PM² Conference is a landmark EU event sponsored by major EU Institutions. This inaugural conference brings together representatives from EU Institutions, Member States' Public Administration, PM² Practitioners, Service Providers and PM² Methodology Experts to learn from each other and to share experiences in using PM² and rolling-out the PM² Methodology in their organisations. The event will be closed by a speech of the European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, Mariya Gabriel.
The Conference will address how PM² can enable better project management in the EU to help organisations deal with challenges of project management performance, collaboration with other organizations, engagement with citizens and complexities of managing service providers and outsourced projects.
The conference is organised in parallel tracks and themes. On the first day, there will be keynote presentations, case studies and PM² Methodology highlights, followed by a second day of short PM² training sessions.

The European Commission is the executive body of the EU and runs its day-to-day business. It is made up of the College of Commissioners, 27 European Commissioners, one for each member state, who are each responsible for one or several policy areas. In addition, the 'Commission' also refers to the entire administrative body that supports the Commissioners, consisting of the Directorates-General and the Services.
The European Commission is the sole EU body capable of proposing new legislation. The Commission also performs an oversight function, monitoring whether European legislation is properly implemented in the member states. In the event of non-compliance, the Commission can coerce a member state to comply by starting a legal procedure at the European Court of Justice.
