Public Opinion, Transatlantic Relations, and the Use of Force
September 14, 12:00 - 14:00
GMF Brussels Office
(Invitation only)
Data suggests that there are fundamental differences between the United States and Europe on the acceptability of the use of force. A recently published book called Public Opinion, Transatlantic Relations, and the Use of Force, examines these differences largely using data from GMF’s Transatlantic Trends surveys from the past decade. Authors Philip Everts and Pierangelo Isernia note that while Americans and Europeans share similar attitudes on international affairs, they differ considerably on issues like the use of military force. Join us for a panel discussion on transatlantic public opinion, the use of force, and its political implications.
