President of the European Council Donald Tusk congratulates Taavi Rõivas on his re-appointment as Prime Minister of Estonia - Main contents

On behalf of the European Union I wish to congratulate Taavi Rõivas on his re-appointment as Prime Minister of Estonia.

One of Europe's main challenge remains putting the economic and financial crisis firmly behind us. In this context Estonia is a model with its growth, balanced budget and low debt. Estonia is also a frontrunner on digital development, an area which the European Council will address at its June meeting and where there is significant potential in boosting jobs and growth in Europe.

I look forward to continuing to work closely together with Prime Minister Rõivas.
