EU wants to regulate inter-bank rate - Main contents

The EU commission Wednesday proposed increased scrutiny powers for EU agencies and national regulators in investigating and setting rules for financial benchmarks such as Libor and Euribor i, which had been rigged when banks lied about the real rates they borrowed from each other.
