Directorate-General for Human Resources and Security (HR)

This Directorate-General was established in order to ensure that European officials can form a modern efficient and dynamic management organisation by formulating policy in the areas of human resource management.

This DG was formerly known as DG ADMIN.

Tasks of the DG are:

  • improve working conditions and to create a working environment in which personnel can efficiently utilise their potential
  • to provide useful advice to other Directorate-Generals and services regarding questions in the ares of administration, human resources and matters of organisation
