Trade unions and seasonal workers’ associations met to showcase their cooperation and joint efforts to improve working and living conditions of seasonal workers

An online conference organized by the European Federation of Food Agriculture and Tourism Trade Unions (EFFAT), ‘Cooperation creates solutions’, draws a picture of the current situation of seasonal workers in Europe and outlines future challenges especially in the context of Covid-19 and the post 2020 CAP reform.

Trade unions and seasonal workers’ associations met to showcase their cooperation and joint efforts to improve working and living conditions of seasonal workers. The online conference organized by the European Federation of Food Agriculture and Tourism Trade Unions, EFFAT [link: www.effat.org], ‘Cooperation creates solutions’, took place in the framework of the European Labour Authority (ELA i)’s campaign “Rights for all seasons”. EFFAT has been actively taking part to the European Week of Seasonal Workers between 20 and 24 September.

In a 3-hour online conference information was provided by ELA, trade unions and associations working on the field to draw a picture of the current situation of seasonal workers in Europe and to outline future challenges.
