This one-day workshop will gather some of Europe’s leading partners in Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) technologies, from research through to pilot line manufacturing and industrialisation, covering all Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs).The European Commission has made significant investments in Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) technologies over a number of years. This includes pioneering investments in fundamental research, proof-of-concept device prototyping, application development, and more recently, pilot line manufacturing. As a result, a vibrant PIC ecosystem now exists in Europe which has an opportunity to unleash the power of PIC technologies, bringing many economic and social benefits to its citizens.

At this event, focused sessions will provide attendees with valuable insights into the structure of Europe’s PIC ecosystem. The workshop will also address the challenge of how the various parts of this ecosystem can collaborate more effectively, building a sustainable research and manufacturing environment. An open panel session will provide attendees an opportunity for interactive discussions.

Who should attend?

Project partners of Horizon 2020 PIC projects (up to 3 per project), suppliers and users of PIC technology
