Cancelled! - Digital Tourism Network event 2020

Important: Please note that in line with Commission guidelines on public events, due to the coronavirus - Covid-19 outbreak, this event has been postponed. The event's new date will be communicated at a later stage. When rescheduled, this event will focus on the access, sharing and management of data by destinations’ public authorities, including through public-private partnerships.

Format of the event

  • The morning session will provide an update on the EU framework for data management and its relevance to tourism.
  • The two parallel sessions of the afternoon will hold multi-stakeholder debates and presentation of good practices. The focus will be on identifying the relevant source and type of data, the challenges of data access, good practices of use of data and relevant partnerships.
  • A final session will bring the conclusions from the two parallel sessions into a joint debate.

Target audience

Representatives of the tourism industry, technology providers, as well as public authorities of cities and regions.
