This side event event on “Experiences and achievement of the Urban Agenda for the EU” will take place at the World Urban Forum 10, in Abu Dhabi. It provides a unique opportunity to take stock of the implementation of the Urban Agenda for the EU after 4 years and will present observations, results, and experiences from various partners on the agendas’ priority themes. Through stories and information sharing about concrete actions of interest to a large audience, this event will deliver concrete results and actions implemented or on-going, also giving some interesting insights about products and ideas on topics such as digital transition, circular economy, sustainable use of land and nature based solutions.
We will share practices and build knowledge on how partnership-based approaches can be further developed through a multi-level and holistic approach. We hope in this way to provide interesting insights and trigger possible ideas, reflections as well as receive the views of urban practitioners, cities, states and organisations beyond the European union.
Speakers will include city representatives from Oulu and Oslo coordinating the Digital Transition and Circular economy partnership as well Croatia (Member of the Digital Transition Partnership and representative of the EU Council Presidency), INCASOL (Institute of land planning, Catalonia) and the European Commission (DG REGIO).
