The FRA Director will take part in a two-day event to mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz where he will speak about antisemitism today drawing on FRA’s survey work.

The event is being organised by the European Jewish Association together with other organisations for Members of Parliament and representatives from Ministries of Education from across Europe.

The meetings will address the need for effective Holocaust education in Europe seeking a recommitment to the shared fight against hatred towards Jews.

A symposium will focus on Holocaust education, which should encompass element of the history of Jews in the countries they have lived in for centuries. There will also be a visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Camps.
