Debate in Nieuwspoort

The time left for the Brexit negotiations is slowly ending and the US elections are getting closer. The outcomes of both events have a major effect on national and European politics. What effects are expected for and by Dutch politicians? And to what extent will the outcomes and developments affect the (election) positions of our national parties with regard to Europe? This debate took place on Wednesday 4 November 2020.

Femke van Esch (associate professor of European Integration, Utrecht University) introduced the topic. She then discussed the topic with André Bosman (Member of Parliament, VVD), Achraf Bouali (Member of Parliament, D66) and Bas Eickhout (Member of the European Parliament, GroenLinks). Kees Boonman moderated the debate.
