The agency’s National Liaison Officers (NLOs) will meet in Vienna from 14 to 15 October to discuss FRA’s cooperation with EU Member States.
The meeting will have a thematic focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their interrelationship with the human and fundamental rights framework. In particular, attention will be paid to the SDGs related to reducing inequality and promoting peace, justice and strong institutions.
In addition, the NLOs will explore FRA’s work on National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) and on the fundamental rights implications of the use of facial recognition technology.
The EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) provides independent, evidence-based advice to EU and national decision makers, thereby helping to make debates, policies and legislation on fundamental rights better informed and targeted.
