MEP Tineke Strik (Dutch Greens) asks commissioner-designate Ylva Johansson about the harrowing refugee situation in Turkey and Libya. There is a lack of information and of oversight on the informal and non-binding deals between the EU and non-EU border countries to regulate migration. Johansson promised to involve the European Parliament in future migration deals, so that it can check for violations of human rights.
