On 18 and 19 November in Skopje, North Macedonia, the FRA Deputy Director Constantinos Manolopoulos will participate in the EU-Western Balkans Ministerial Forum on Justice and Home Affairs.

The meeting provides an opportunity for ministers and representatives of EU institutions to discuss issues of common concern, to review progress of the countries of the region on their road to Europe, and to exchange views on major developments in the EU.

Topics for discussion at this meeting include the rule of law, prison conditions and use of alternative sanctions, cooperation with EU Agencies, migration and borders, and terrorism. The meeting is being organised under the Finnish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
