Turning visionary approaches into planning policies and tools: from 9-13 December 2019, SSPCR - Smart and Sustainable Planning for Cities and Regions - a high-level international communication platform for academics, researchers, professionals, and decision-makers, will be hosting a conference in Bolzano/Bozen (Italy).

With over 200 participants from more than 20 countries, SSPCR 2019 offers a place where research can turn into practice, visionary approaches into (planning) policies and tools for local authorities and decision-makers in urban and regional contexts. SSPCR 2019 explores the impact of academic research, the opportunities for scaling-up and replicability of pilot projects, and the added value of local bottom-up initiatives in relation to complex challenges posed by the smart city/region approach.

Circular economy is the focus of track 3 (New value propositions in times of urban innovation ecosystems and sharing economies), with the call for papers now open until 31 July 2019, so visit www.sspcr.eurac.edu for more information and registration.
