Overview of the main subjects to be discussed at meetings of the Council of the EU over the next two weeks.

Foreign Affairs Council, 15 July 2019

Foreign ministers will discuss the latest developments concerning Iran and the Iran nuclear deal, the JCPOA. The Council will then turn to Iraq and adopt conclusions. It will also discuss the Central African Republic. Foreign ministers will have an exchange of views with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Nicolae Popescu.

Agriculture and Fisheries Council, 15 July 2019

The Council will exchange views on the post 2020 CAP reform package and the work of the high level group on sugar. It will also be informed about: the work programme of the Finnish presidency, EU-Mercosur, African swine fever and animal welfare during transport.

General Affairs Council, 18 July 2019

The Council will hear presentations on the priorities of the Finnish presidency and the plans of the presidency as regards work on the next multiannual financial framework. Ministers will also discuss the implementation of the Strategic Agenda 2019-2024 and take stock of the state of play on the rule of law in Poland.
