The theme of this seminar, targeted at member state experts and representatives of the industry and research communities, is the implementation of the European Defence Fund (EDF). The focus will be on the relevant key issues, including R&D priorities, interlinkages between R&D measures, and how the EDF can benefit R&D in technologies such as artificial intelligence.

In the Council, government ministers from each EU country meet to discuss, amend and adopt laws, and coordinate policies. The ministers have the authority to commit their governments to the actions agreed on in the meetings.
Together with the European Parliament , the Council is the main decision-making body of the EU.
