The Biomedical Applications of Electromagnetic Energy workshop features the technological developments made by the project Semiconductor-based Ultrawideband Micromanipulation of CAncer STEm Cells (SUMCASTEC).

The EIC FET-Open project SUMCASTEC explores a radically new approach for cancer stem cells real time and neutralisation. A novel micro-optofluidic lab-on-chip (LOC) platform will be developed through a joint and iterative effort by biologists, clinicians and engineers.

One of the SUMCASTEC partners - CREO Medical Ltd., organises a dedicated workshop on electromagntic energy in the area of healthcare innovations and point-of-care technologies and their clinical translation to address challenges in global healthcare. Physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals, engineers, innovators, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, researchers, and academia are all invited and welcome to the workshop!

Call for papers is open until 10th May 2019. Applications and/or attendance confirmations should be sent to Ilan Davies (Ilan.Davies@creomedical.com). More details on the workshop are available on the SUMCASTEC website.
