Safeguarding refugees from being recruited and radicalised: this meeting aims to achieve a common appreciation of the responses needed to prevent and counter violent extremism within receiving communities targeted against newcomers, such as refugees.

Target audience: practitioners and policymakers engaged in preventing radicalisation in education, health and social care as well as youth, family and community work.

This Directorate-General is responsible for EU policies in matters regarding security, migration, border security and anti-terrorism measures.
