The international fight against corruption - overcoming cooperation challenges To commemorate the International Anti-Corruption Day, the European Investment Bank (EIB) is pleased to invite you to the third edition of the EIB Anti-Corruption Conference on 4 December in Luxembourg. This edition will focus on the crucial role that cooperation plays in addressing corruption in projects financed by international financial institutions (IFIs). By providing real-life case studies from various international organisations and national agencies, the conference aims to highlight some successful strategies in overcoming international cooperation challenges. The event is addressed to civil society organisations, representatives of the EU institutions, national anti-corruption authorities, international and national financing institutions and donors, as well as to EIB representatives. The EIB has invited a prominent keynote speaker from the French Judiciary system and other speakers for the following three thematic panels: Panel 1: Fighting corruption alongside MDBs: real life success stories with speakers from the Word Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the French Development Agency (AFD), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and former EIB colleagues. Panel 2: Multi-jurisdictional investigative cooperation between national and international agencies with speakers from the European Antifraud Office (OLAF), the Italian National Anticorruption Agency (ANAC), the Anticorruption Bureau of Malawi (ACB), and the French Anticorruption Agency (AFA). Panel 3: Proactive Investigations - the next area of cooperation with speakers from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Global Fund (GF), and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). A final programme will be made available soon. In the meantime, we invite you to mark the date in your agenda and to register by completing the form available here before 27 November 2018. The event is free but registration is compulsory.
