At this year's European Week of Regions and Cities (8-11 October 2018) a political debate about the future of health in Europe will take place, with Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Andriukaitis as one of the speakers.According to the organisers, "there are a lot of new challenges in the health sector which can be better tackled at EU level, such as patient-centred healthcare systems, eHealth, mHealth, health inequalities, prevention, personalised medicine and antimicrobial resistance, to name only a few."
The aim of the conference is to show the clear added value of European policies and programmes in improving public health and healthcare services across the EU at territorial level, with a particular focus on Cohesion Policy. The event will also foster the debate on the next Multi-annual Financial Framework.
