On 20 November, the ENVI committee in association with the PETI, ITRE and AGRI and Committees will hold a hearing on the European Citizens' Initiative “Ban glyphosate and protect people and the environment from toxic pesticides”. The initiative collected over 1 million signatures calling for a ban on glyphosate, a reform of the pesticide approval procedure, and EU-wide mandatory reduction targets for pesticide use.
