European Committee of the Regions, NECSTouR and European Commission DG GROW have joined forces to celebrate the World Tourism Day on Wednesday 27 September with a seminar on innovative partnerships and funding mechanisms available to public authorities, interested in modernising and reinvigorating their tourism offer.

The event will be opened by the new CoR President Lambertz together with

Mr Mircea - Titus DOBRE, Minister of Tourism of the Romanian Government

Mr István UJHELYI, Member of the European Parliament, Vice-chair of the Tourism Task Force at the Committee for Transport and Tourism

Ms Ana-Claudia ŢAPARDEL, Member of the European Parliament, Co-Chair of the Intergroup Tourism and Cultural Heritage

Mr Patrick TORRENT, NECSTouR Presidency - Catalan Government Tourism Department

This event is free of charge and will be interpreted in five EU languages: English, French, German, Spanish and Finnish.

Committee of the Regions (CoR)

The Committee of the Regions (CoR) is an EU advisory body composed of locally and regionally elected representatives coming from all 27 Member States. Through the CoR they are able to share their opinion on EU legislation that directly impacts regions and cities.
