On behalf of the European Council and personally, I wish to convey my warmest congratulations on your re-election as Prime Minister of Malta.
Today, more than ever, we need unity, solidarity and stability in Europe. The decisions that we take in the months to come will have an impact on the shape of our Union in the future. I am confident that through your leadership and commitment, Malta and the Maltese Presidency of the EU Council will continue to contribute constructively in dealing with the challenges we face.
I look forward to continuing to work with you at the European Council.
