“Look at what happened in Sweden!” The American president Donald Trump almost caused panic by claiming that Sweden had become victim of a terrorist attack.

How do we sort out what is true and what is false, in a society with more and more information at our disposal?

In which ways do false facts influence elections? Were the American elections influenced? And does this occur in the Netherlands as well?
