Mission: The group's tasks will be: • to provide advice to the Commission on issues in relation with the implementation of programmes adopted and implemented in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 1299/2013, Regulation (EU) No 1300/2013, Regulation (EU) No 1301/2013 and Regulation No 1303/2013; • to provide advice to the Commission in relation to specific issues linked to the implementation of programmes adopted and still implemented until their closure in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1080/2006 and Regulation (EC) No 1084/2006 as regards the 2007 to 2013 programming period; • to provide advice to the Commission on issues in relation with the establishment and functioning of (EGTCs) in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1082/2006; • to ensure coordination and establish cooperation between Member State authorities and the Commission on implementation issues; • to bring about an exchange of experience and encourage good practice in the implementation of co-financed programmes or EGTCs. Issues in relation to programmes adopted and implemented in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 1304/2013, Regulation (EU) No 1305/2013 and the future regulation for the EMFF exclusively will not fall within the scope of the tasks given to this group of experts.

    Dit type werkgroepen van de Europese Unie adviseert de Europese Commissie bij het opstellen van nieuwe wetgeving en nieuw beleid. Daarnaast houden ze zich bezig met controle, coördinatie en samenwerking met de lidstaten. Expertgroepen kunnen tijdelijk of permanent zijn ingesteld. De deskundigen worden niet betaald, maar krijgen een onkostenvergoeding. Expertgroepen zijn samengesteld uit deskundigen van nationale overheden, vertegenwoordigers van belangenorganisaties en/of experts uit het bedrijfsleven.

    This Directorate-General is responsible for European actions with regard to economic and social development of the least developed regions of the EU. The DG supports such regions with policies and structural programmes aimed at enhancing competitiveness economic growth of those regions.
