    The Presidency would like to propose the following provisional Agenda for the next COMAR meeting to which also the national representatives of WP on International Environment Issues (Biodiversity) and of WP on Internal and External Fisheries Policy are hereby invited:

    Adoption of the agenda
  • 2. 
    Public Consultation on International Ocean Governance
  • Update from the Commission
  • 3. 
    Development of an internationally legally-binding instrument under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the conservation and sustainable use of marine biological diversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction

  • Delegations will have the opportunity to provide their input with respect to the four elements of the negotiations (marine genetic resources, marine protected areas, environmental impact assessment, and capacity building and transfer of marine technology), the outcomes of the first session of the PrepCom in respect of these elements and the position of the EU as reflected in the Rolling Position Paper
  • 4.
