More O’Ferrall claims that most of the anti-terrorism measures currently being proposed by the European institutions are “ repacked political projects rather than new solutions“. The PNR proposal is back on the agenda for example, even though massive data collection does not actually help to prevent terrorism, argues the spokesperson. Instead focus should be put on facilitating information exchange between security services and conducting more targeted surveillance, argues More O’Ferrall.
