The European Commission's Directorate General for Health and Consumers along with the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE) and the Union of Veterinarians in Bulgaria, as well as Bulgarian Food Safety Agency and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Trakia University are organising the 9th regional workshop on animal welfare for veterinary practitioners.
It will take place on 25-26 March in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria and is targeted at veterinarians from Bulgaria and neighbouring countries.
The aim is to provide veterinarians with a deeper understanding of animal welfare issues. The workshop will focus on the legislation, the critical issues and species-specific assessment schemes. In addition to the theoretical presentations there will be practical sessions on-farm and in a zoo, where participants can put their knowledge into practice.

Европейската комисия организира обучителен симпозиум за практикуващи ветеринарни лекари по хуманно отношение към животните
Стара Загора, България 25-26 март 2015г.
Главна дирекция „Здраве и потребители“ към Европейската комисия, в партньорство с Федерацията на ветеринарните лекари в Европа (FVE), Съюзът на ветеринарните лекари в България, Българската агенция по безопасност на храните и Ветеринарният факултет към Тракийския университет, Стара Загора организират 9-тия регионален симпозиум по хуманно отношение към животните за практикуващи ветеринарни лекари.
Форумът ще се проведе на 25-26 март в Стара Загора, България и е насочен към ветеринарните лекари в България и съседните страни.
Целта е ветеринарните лекари да се запознаят в дълбочина с въпросите, свързани с хуманното отношение към животните. Симпозиумът ще се фокусира върху законодателството, най-важните въпроси и специфичните схеми за оценка на определени видове. В допълнение към теоретичните презентации ще има практически занимания в животновъдни обекти и зоологическа градина, където участниците могат да приложат своите знания на практика.
