The Democratic Governance Pact (DGP) should become for Democracy, the Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights, what the Stability and Growth Pact is to the Eurozone. The DGP establishes a more gradual and automatic response in order to ensure better compliance with Article 2 of the Treaty of the European Union and the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.
Seminar
The event will allow key stakeholders, representatives from all EU institutions, experts in the field of fundamental rights, as well as civil society organisations to further discuss the DGP and explore possible avenues to implement this instrument aiming at strengthening Democracy, the Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights in the EU.
