MEPs back EU-Moldova pact - Main contents

The European Parliament has backed the EU-Moldova Association agreement in a vote Thursday. Deputies backed the agreement, which includes a free trade deal, by 535-94. The deal "establishes (Moldova's) European prospects and bears witness to its determination eventually to join the EU”, said rapporteur Petras Austrevicius i, a Latvian liberal.
