Corrigendum to doc. 5802/7/14 REV 7:
Page 1 should read as follows:
"As a reflection to recent consultations, delegations will find attached the proposed Presidency compromise text on recital 17 and Art. 3(3a) to be considered by the WPAQ on 5 November 2014."
On page 7, recital 17, should read as follows:
(17) Where justified, individual In exceptional circumstances and in duly justified cases, any Member States may at its request at the request of a Member State be allowed to derogate temporarily from the maximum permitted levels of radioactive contamination only for specific food and feed which is produced and consumed only on its their territory.
On page 11, Article 3, paragraph 3a, should read as follows:
3a. Without prejudice to the objective pursued by this Regulation, implementing
Regulations may in exceptional circumstances allow any individual Member State(s), at its request, to derogate temporarily from the maximum permitted levels for specific food or feed. Those derogations shall be based on scientific evidence, be duly justified by specific the circumstances prevailing in the Member State on societal grounds, and shall only apply to food and feed which is produced and consumed on its territory in that individual Member State. Implementing regulations shall specify the food and feed to which the derogations apply, the types of radionuclides concerned, the geographical scope of the derogations and their duration. Where derogations are granted, Member States shall ensure that their population is appropriately informed.
