The Greek Presidency of the Council of the European Union will host the EU-US Ministerial Meeting on Justice and Home Affairs, on 25 June 2014, in Athens (Zappeion Conference Hall).

From the EU side, the meeting will be chaired jointly by the Greek Ministers of Justice, Transparency & Human Rights and Public Order & Citizen Protection, Charalampos Athanasiou and Vassilis Kikilias respectively, in close cooperation with the two competent Commissioners, the Vice President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Justice, Fundamental Rights & Citizenship, Viviane Reding and Commissioner for Home Affairs, Cecilia Malmstrom.

From the US side, the Secretaries of Justice and Homeland Security, Eric Holder and Mr. Jeh Johnson respectively will attend the meeting. The meeting aims to examine issues of mutual interest in the fields of Justice and Home Affairs and seek ways of strengthening the cooperation between the two sides.
