College 1: European History

Mathieu Segers (assistent professor European integration, Utrecht University) gave a lecture on the erratic history of European integration. The European Union can not be understood without an understandig of the historical events that made the EU, such as the fall of the Berlin Wall. Segers outlined a realistic picture of the history necessary for a meaningfull debate about the future.

This lecture is part of a lecture series about Europe.
