First calls published under Creative Europe!

Following approval of Creative Europe programme by the European Parliament on 19 November and by the Council on 5 December, the Commission has published today the first call for proposals in the framework of the newly approved programme.

All cultural and creative players searching for funding, audiovisual and non audiovisual, will find relevant information at the following web page.

€1.46 billion will be provided over a period of 7 years to the new programme in order to boost the European cultural and creative sectors, stimulate cross-border cooperation and increase their already contribution to jobs and growth.

Creative Europe will help artists, cultural professionals and cultural organisations in fields such as the performing arts, fine arts, publishing, film, TV, music, video games, interdisciplinary arts, heritage, video games to operate in other countries, to reach new audiences and to develop the skills that are needed in the digital age. By helping European cultural works reach new audiences in other countries, it will also be helping to safeguard and promote Europe's cultural and linguistic diversity.
