Ban on GM crops still not coming into force - Main contents

European Union environment ministers ministers meeting in Brussels on Friday are unlikely to allow countries to decide themselves whether to grow or ban genetically modified (GM) crops, with a blocking minority of France, Germany, Belgium, Spain and London expected to oppose new proposals put together by the Danish EU presidency.
