Political parties searching for their role

In the past, an elector had a strong connection with a particular party. The 'heads' of the party received a high level of confidence from their electors. Confidence, because they had the same ideology. Currently, political parties search for their profile and electors, or the other way around. The political preferences are not strongly connected to ideologically reconised parties anymore. The Montesquieu Institute, international press centre Nieuwspoort and ProDemos organised a debate about the changing role of political parties. This debate is part of the debate series 'Democracy in Debate'.
