What is the role of the media as fourth power in our democracy? To whom are journalists accountable? How does this relate to the principle of freedom of press? On Tuesday 30th of August an expertmeeting will take place at the Montesquieu Institute about the role of the media in democracy with, amongst others, Jouke de Vries, Jan Schinkelshoek, Peter de Vries, Kutsal Yesilkagit and Max van Weezel.
This will be a closed meeting.
After this session a report presenting the main arguments, findings and conclusions will be published on our website.
