The Montesquieu Institute Maastricht is a research centre dedicated to European and comparative parliamentary studies. The institute is located at the Faculty of Law of Maastricht University and started in 2008.

The Montesquieu Institute Maastricht has set out to contribute to the academic and public discourse on democracy, accountability and representation in Europe and the European Union through comparative and constitutional research and parliamentary systems. In particular, the institute focuses on constitutional law, public law, and social law.

The institute's staff is involved in teaching activities within the bachelor's and master's programmes of the Faculty of Law of Maastricht University.
