Reinhard Bütikofer (1953) is a member of the European Parliament since 14 July 2009 for "Bündnis 90/Die Grünen", which is aligned with the Greens/European Free Alliance. He is elected on behalf of Germany. Bütikofer has been involved in politics since the 1970's, and has become a prominent figure in the German green party.
