Gerban Jan Gerbrandy (1967) is a member of the European Parliament since 2009 on behalf of D66, the Dutch centre liberal party. Prior to his election Gerbrandy was senior political advisor at the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Safety. As MEP he member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and is involved in committees on relations with neighbouring countries.
