Working Party on Terrorism (International Aspects) (COTER)

The Working Party on Terrorism (International Aspects) coordinates the member states positions on international aspects of the fight against terrorism. It mainly carries out threat analyses regarding non-EU countries with the aim of enhancing EU cooperation with these countries in combating international terrorism. The working party also prepares meetings and dialogues on terrorism with non-EU countries.

This Council working party (nr. C.19) examines the legislative proposals by the European Commission in its field of expertise that are sent to the Council of Ministers. This body is composed of experts from each member state and is chaired by the delegate of the country holding the rotating six-month presidency of the Council.
