Given that Regulation (EU) 2017/625 repealed and replaced the previously applicable legislation on official controls and in order to ensure legal certainty regarding the provisions that the Commission considered Czechia to have infringed, an additional letter of formal notice was sent in July 2020 and an additional reasoned opinion in September 2021.
