(49) Pursuant to Article 4(1)(f) of the Europol Regulation (EU) 2016/794, Europol prepares threat assessments, strategic and operational analyses and situation reports. Europol’s flagship report is the EU Serious and Organised Threat Assessment (SOCTA), which presents inter alia key locations of crime in the EU. Similarly, pursuant to Article 29(1) of the Frontex Regulation (EU) 2019/1896 Frontex provides risk analysis. Recital (11) of the Frontex Regulation clarifies that, in the context of European integrated border management, risk analysis covers the Schengen area.
