6. LISTS OF BASIC INSTRUMENTS CONCERNED BY GENERAL ALIGNMENT

6.1. General list

The list of instruments that need to be adapted to the new regulatory procedure with scrutiny by means of “omnibus” regulations is set out below. Only the instruments appearing on this list are in fact concerned by the general alignment exercise.

The Commission reserves the right to make changes to this list.

6.2. List of instruments undergoing codification

Some of the instruments requiring adaptation to the procedure with scrutiny are included in the Commission's codification programme.

These instruments will be adapted to the new procedure either by means of legislative amendment or by conversion of the codified proposal into a recast, depending on the stage reached in the codification procedure. A list of the instruments subject to one or other of these procedures is set out below.

6.3. List of the other instruments needing adaptation

In final position below is the list of basic instruments concerned by adaptation to the regulatory procedure with scrutiny but the adaptation of which will either be carried out in the context of a substantial amendment of the basic instrument going beyond the comitology aspects alone or will be rendered superfluous by its repeal.
